Package Highlight:

Tantalize your senses on this trip to Ha Giang, located in North-Eastern Vietnam. A lunar landscape of limestone pinnacles and granite outcrops flanked by the Lo and Mien River, Ha Giang is a paradise for nature lovers and trekkers. Even with limited or no trekking experience you would not want to be left behind. Though the views are breathtaking, but the highlights are always the random stops at the tinsel villages. Pretty countryside with friendly people from the ethnic minority of the Hmong tribe dwells in this region. The most beautiful drive in Vietnam is considered to be between Dong Van and Meo Vac.

It would definitely not hurt to be called a vagabond in such a place.

HANOI

Hanoi

Oozing with charm, Hanoi the capital city of Vietnam has a personality that has shaped from its rich history. Invaded by Chinese and then ruled by the French, be it its great architecture, culinary art, friendly locals and the vibrancy in the air. the city will never cease to amaze you.

Brewed in history with modernisation you will not fall short of things to do in this city. The ‘Temple of Literature’ a tribute to Confucius is a well preserved Vietnamese architecture. Just about 2 kms is the Ho Hoan Keim (Lake of the restored sword). The Ngoc Son Temple sits on an island in Hoan Kiem Lake. The ramshackle Thap Rua (Turtle Tower), on an islet near the southern end, is topped with a red star and is often used as an emblem of Hanoi. Other interesting landmarks in Hanoi are one pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc, the presidential palace, National museum of fine arts, Ho Chi Min Mausoleum etc.

Too excited to sleep, step out late night, actually early Vietnamese morning to Quang Ba flower market which buzzes at 2am. Early morning, if you take a walk in one of the many parks you will notice locals practice Tai Chi, you might fancy trying the same.

In Hanoi, you may find yourself sitting in a cafe sipping excellent coffee and nibbling a pastry in one of the many French cafes. The coffee served is world class - served strong and rich in demitasses. One of the best blends to try is smooth and chocolatey. Feeling adventurous try out the ‘caphe sua chua’ (iced coffee with yogurt)

Here’s a city you would pray to get lost in. You might just discover something new and extraordinary, not only about the city but also about yourself.

HA GIANG

Paddy Plantations in the SAPA Valley

Pledged as explorers 'Holy Grail', Ha Giang will leave your eyes popping wide open with its jaw dropping scenery. Bisected by broad river Lo with spectacular limestone outcrops soaring skywards over the suburbs hint at the amazing scenery in the surrounding hinterland. If you are looking to recharge your batteries this part of the country has the set ambience for it.

Usually a sleepy provincial town, Ha Giang has uniquely preserved its tribal culture and is one of those rarest places - that hasn't been corralled by modernity yet. The most spectacular and mind- blowing scenery in the country is the trip between Dong Van and Meo Vac. But with its proximity to the Chinese border you will require a travel permit, which can be arranged at Ha Giang. The slight hassles of scoring a permit are easily compensated by some most breath-taking landscape.
